- This lecture explores the Japanese Popular culture: the advantages of popular culture, the biases of popular culture as privileging certain social groups and the history of Japanese popular culture form Edo period to contemporary as well as globalization of Japanese popular media.

Antononoka Olga is an independent researcher, formerly an associate professor of Kwansei Gakuin University. Current research: boys’ love dramas and manga and anime taste communities in Latvia.
