PURPOSE OF FOUNDATIONOur main goal is to serve the ALTs in Miyagi and Sendai, and the communities they work in, by organizing meaningfully social events. We aim to link ALTs with the local community in Miyagi. We have around 120 members that are eager to get involved with activities. Members often volunteer at local events. MAJET also connects with former ALTs that have stayed in Miyagi.
INTRODUCTIONWe run events all year, from “trivia nights" and camping trips to charity events and community projects. Some of our events include
・Welcome party (for new ALTs)
・Thanksgiving trip to Yakurasan
・Trip to the Sapporo Snow Festival (sign up early!)
・Trivia Night
・Cherry blossom viewing in Ogawara
・Glamping at Bandai in Fukushima
・Outdoor activities
