PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION1.Unify Africans living in Miyagi, creating mutual support.
2.Japanese society and cultural exchange.
3.Share the bountiful culture of Africa.
4.Strengthen academic exchange with universities and student groups.
5.Proactively participate in events organized by local government.
6.Promoting dialogue of African innovation and business.
7.Cultivating student leaders from local university AFAM chapters.
8.Sharing information intergenerationally through "AfriMag."
INTRODUCTIONEstablished in 2002, stationed in Sendai, the African Association of Miyagi is a network of Africans living in Miyagi Prefecture and the Tohoku region. We also contribute to the local community through activities such as visiting elderly homes, hosting workshops, and organizing the “African Cultural Exchange/African Business Seminar." We publish "AfriMag" and participated in the International Kansai Expo in Osaka, helping progress multiculturalism and support education.
